Preserving culture through t-shirts

In June, I visited Curacao, an island in the Caribbean. There is a museum there called Kura Hulanda, which educates visitors on the history of slavery around the world as well as the local history and culture in Curacao.

A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to meet a man named Greg Barnes at a conference. This man was the designer of apparel that spread the word on anti-racism and inspiration. His line of clothing was called Eracism. T-shirts like this one that state “The greatest failure is to not try” is a statement that is meant to inspire people of all races, religions and political viewpoints. Clothing like this makes a statement that provokes deep thought and introspection. What inspiration is in your closet?
