You’re only familiar with Clip Art (or the evolution of Clip Art) if you grew up in the 1990’s.  While aimlessly clicking through a Power Point exercise in computer class, you stumbled upon a new tab. Clip Art? Click. Before your eyes lies a compilation of pre-designed graphics that represent icons, pictures and other scenes your limited skills couldn’t imagine.  You spent hours searching through all the images, comparing size, color and format as though you were getting paid to do so.

Well Whooptee has taken Clip Art into the next millennium with modern icons that elevate t-shirt design.  With more template options to choose from, it’s going to be hard choosing your favorite.

Pretty Only Counts in Pageants: All design should be aesthetically appealing and functional.  Make sure your clip art or image makes sense in the context of your design.  You want your “admirers” to understand the message and like it within seconds of viewing it.

Playing Clue:   Call attention to certain aspects of the design by directing the eye. We naturally “read” from top left to bottom right; decide if that works for you or challenges your design.

Don’t Overdo It: Less is more – especially when using clip art. Try not to pile image upon image for impact; you don’t want to cause a headache.   Give a feeling of movement, emotion and intent by combining both obvious and subtle patterns.

Give credit where credit is due:  No problem, Whooptee has purchased the license to these images so you don’t have to worry about violating a copyright.  After all, you’re not out to letch off the school work of some graphic design grad student – you just know what you like.
